Scientific Computing and Learning Lab
We are a research group led by Prof. Yiping Lu at Northwestern University. We aim to build the foundation of the new generation of AI powered research paradigm that integrates scientific and engineering knowledge into Machine learning and Generative AI.
Our team working on an interdisciplinary research approach across probability and statistics, machine learning, numerical algorithms, control theory, signal processing/inverse problem, and operations research.
We are at Northwestern Univesrity, which is one of the most prestigious private research universities in the US. Established in 1851 to serve the historic Northwest Territory, it is the oldest chartered university in Illinois. Northwestern ranked #9 in the all National Universities and ranked #24 globally by U.S. News & World Report. The IEMS department is ranked #6 among all industrial engineering programs by U.S. News & World Report.
